Dr. Dave is an Atlantic City native who worked in security at Trump Taj Mahal in the 1990s and is now one of the foremost scholars on gambling history and the casino industry. He directs the Center for Gaming Research at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, and has written books about Atlantic City, Las Vegas, and gambling history.
His book Boardwalk Playground: The Making, Unmaking, & Remaking of Atlantic City, offers a history of the people, places, attractions, and events that have shaped the city over time.
