On episode 159 of the Atlantic City and Casino Biz Podcast, we start by remembering Darryl McEwen, who died on October 10th at age 72. Darryl published the Seven Stars Insider website, wrote the Mr. AC Casino column for Atlantic City weekly, and did a monthly feature on Atlantic City events for TravelZork. He will be sorely missed.
Looking back at AC history, we discuss an Atlantic City resident who broke new ground in 1859, and a collision between a cruise ship and an oil tanker that occurred in 1959.
